"Hawaii Amelia" lost custody of her 18 month old daughter after discrepancies in Amelia’s Social Security Numbers and identifying information were found. Child Protective Services was contacted and though "Amelia" tired to explain she was a victim in hiding with an identity change there was no one at SSA with authority to verify her claim. CPS assumed she was lying and placed her baby in foster care. More
